What is a rapid corona antigen test?
A SARS-CoV-2 antigen test is a useful addition to the PCR testing capacities. It can be used to identify the possible acute infection that is relevant to transmission. (RKI)
As with the PCR test, the smear is taken by means of a throat and/or nasal swab (nasopharynx). The sample material is then brought together with antigens in an appropriate solution to detect possible protein building blocks of SARS-CoV-2. The result is obtained after 15-30 minutes.

Who is carrying out the test?
The rapid corona test is carried out by our trained medical staff and takes place under medical supervision.

The testing centre is located on the west parking space oft he Max-Schmeling-Halle in the district Prenzlauer Berg – right between the hall and Schwedter Straße, which runs through the Mauerpark. Railways Stations closest to the premises are the U-Bahn station Eberswalder Straße and S+U station Schönhauser Allee.
The tram stations Milatraße and Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn Sportpark are within walking distance.
The test centre is open up to and including 06.02.2021. The following opening hours apply:
Monday and Tuesday 10:00-13:00
Wednesday 15:00-18:00
Thursday to Saturday 10:00-13:00
The test centre is closed on Sundays.
